cole added their review for It: Without giving away spoilers, this had some artificially scary moments and jump scares, but lacked genuine horror necessary to affect audiences in 2017. The black kid was under-utilized, the ending had serious gaps and loose ends, and a few human-on-human murders go completely ignored. The entire purpose of the movie becomes a moot point all too quickly....entertaining, but very disappointing.
ratri added their review for It: Disappointed, because I expected too much, as always. Film looks wrinkled somehow, seems like they wanted to explain everything, but had no time even for something. Didn't like character development. Problems, mentioned in the book were touched lightly or completely lost and forgotten. Didn't understand why they replaced a dam building scene with swimming. One thing worth mentioning is the scene in bathroom, I liked it the most. I think that movie succeeded only as a horror and lost a lot in drama and thriller part.
