The setting for Knightfall is the Crusades, which took place in the thirteenth century. The Crusades were a series of religious wars, sanctioned by the Latin Church, the first beginning in the year 1095. This exciting series explores the characters behind the scenes of the historic Crusades, taking fans into the worlds of those who lived during the times.

For its second season, History's Knightfall has enlisted the talents of Mark Hamill to play a craggy Knight Templar who trains new recruits, as Tom Cullen's Landry is looking for redemption and to re-join the order. The eight-episode return will be even more brutal than the first, as King Philip turns on the Templars and we march towards their eventual demise in 1307.
