Coyote vs Acme's star Will Forte has broken his silence about the fate of the Looney Tunes flick, and it's not what we were hoping for.
It was a no-brainer back when it was announced in January, but Peacock has now officially greenlit an eight-episode MacGruber TV series that sees Will Forte reprise his role as America's ultimate hero. The action comedy is based on the Saturday Night Live sketch that parodied MacGyver, as well as the 2010 movie of the same name, which has since gone on to become a cult classic. The series picks up as MacGruber is finally released from prison following a brutal 10-year stretch behind bars. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past -- …
For 11 years, Robert Downey Jr. held down the MCU fort as Iron Man, serving as a centralized figure of humor, action, and pathos. Now, in our topsy-turvy post-Avengers: Endgame world, it seems as though Downey is switching teams! Via his Team Downey production company, he's executive producing an adaptation of DC Comics' Sweet Tooth for Netflix. And he's bringing quite the eclectic cast with him. Almost like some sort of team of "avenging people." Hmm. Is there another word for "avenging people"? Sweet Tooth, based on Jeff Lemire's DC creation, is a live action …
Will Forte, who voices Shaggy in the new animated movie Scoob, shares what he's watching, reading, and playing during quarantine.
Get your throat-rippin’ hands ready, because the MacGruber TV show is very much in the works. For years, fans of the 2010 comedy MacGruber—one of the best comedies of the decade—have been clamoring for a sequel. Will Forte, Jorma Taccone and John Solomon, who made MacGruber, have also been trying to get one off the ground. And while an official MacGruber 2 was hard to make happen given that the first movie bombed at the box office, we got some great news earlier this year when word broke that a MacGruber TV series was in the works …
In solidarity with everyone cooped up inside during the novel coronavirus pandemic, Will Forte announced a YouTube Live stream with his fellow cast members from the post-apocalyptic comedy The Last Man on Earth. Forte revealed the livestream event on his Twitter account, alongside a flyer with details about the stream superimposed over an image of Forte’s character Phil Miller passed out in a wading pool surrounded by liquor bottles. https://twitter.com/OrvilleIV/status/1248031940680093696?s=20 The Last Man on Earth takes place a year after a deadly plague has seemingly wiped out the human race. Phil …
As you hopefully noticed over the past few weeks, we recently launched a new live interview series called Collider Connected, in which we conduct an interview live on our YouTube channel. Our inaugural guest was Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino (watch that here), and our second guest was two-time Oscar-winning cinematographer Roger Deakins (watch that here). While the first two episodes featured two amazing wizards at their craft, for the next episode, which will be happening on April 8th at 11am PT, we landed someone that makes everyone laugh: Will Forte! Forte will be coming on to talk …
Created by Eliot Laurence (who also created Claws), the Freeform drama series Motherland: Form Salem is set in an alternate present-day America that sees witches fighting for their country, after a deal was agreed upon with the U.S. government during their persecution 300 years ago. It’s a strong matriarchal society in which women are on the front lines, and where three young women – Abigail Bellweather (Ashley Nicole Williams), Tally Craven (Jessica Sutton) and Raelle Collar (Taylor Hickson) – find themselves as a unit in basic training for combat magic, at a time when dangerous terrorists are threatening the …
Freeform's alternate history witch show, Motherland: Fort Salem, has taken on a more ominous tone in the few days ahead of its release. In the series, which premieres tonight, the United States is facing a silent threat that citizens feel helpless to protect themselves against. But while Americans (and the majority of the rest of the world) take to social distancing to hopefully slow the spread of the novel coronavirus in the real world, the fictional USA of Motherland: Fort Salem looks to a supernatural force for help in fighting their foe. Motherland takes place in the present day, …

Lionsgate has tapped rising genre filmmaker Osgood Perkins to write and direct the supernatural thriller Incident at Fort Bragg, which boasts a very juicy premise. This incident took place in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the largest military installation in the world. Beau Flynn is producing under his FlynnPictureCo banner along with Scott Glassgold of Ground Control Entertainment, while FPC's Scott Sheldon will serve as an executive producer. …
Late Night with Seth Meyers brought back “Second Chance Theatre” this week, this time for a “so-stupid-it’s-hilarious” sketch involving Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis. For those unaware, “Second Chance Theatre” is a semi-regular segment that Seth Meyers created as a vehicle to showcase Saturday Night Live sketches that never made it to air, either because they were too weird, too silly, or too niche. Meyers knows many of these sketches well owing to his tenure on SNL not only as a cast member but as Head Writer, and so he welcomes former (and current) cast …
