In the early 1990s, ABC's NYPD Blue regularly made headlines for its boundary-pushing nude scenes — always carefully cast in shadow. It was a very different time from today, when cable and streaming platforms regularly put out content so explicit the MPAA would blush if it were being released in a movie theater. Thus, it takes special effort to stand out when it comes to putting naked people on screen, the way the new Hulu drama Normal People does. Normal People, in its trailer, could only begin to hint at the level of nudity contained within the series, focused …
In less than a week's time, The Willoughbys will make their way onto Netflix. The stylized take on the title family was previously teased in the official trailer for the movie, but now the first clip has arrived to share a little more action-packed animation. This clip honestly looks great. It showcases the colorful, candy-coated style of animation at play here, emphasis on the candy-coated. Our heroes are quite literally lost in a massive (and dangerous) candy-making plant, evoking some classic factory-based cartoon antics the likes of which we haven't seen in years. …

After getting his start in film journalism, Hendrix has kept busy with books like 'My Best Friend's Exorcism' and 'Horrorstör', his horror publishing history 'Paperbacks from Hell', and screenwriting gigs on Mohawk and now, RLJE Film's Fangoria co-production, Satanic Panic. With Chelsea Stardust (All That We Destroy) in the director's chair, Satanic Panic stars Hayley Griffith as a pizza girl desperate for a big payday, who takes a delivery to a far-off wealthy neighborhood in …
When Disney bought Lucasfilm and acquired the rights to make their own Star Wars movies, they also acquired the rights to make their own Indiana Jones films. While a fifth Indy movie is in development with Steven Spielberg directing and Harrison Ford in the role, there isn’t much longevity in that. Ford is 76 years old, so we can’t expect many more Indy movies from him. There have been rumors that the role will be recast, but Ford recently shot these rumors down: “Nobody is going to be Indiana Jones, don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy.” But is it that easy?
While fans of the Metal Gear Solid games by Hideo Kojima have been pining for a proper movie adaptation for years now, Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts seems to finally be getting a chance to bring Snake and any number of characters to the big screen. But with a property like Metal Gear Solid, an adaptation was never going to be so easy. Will they decide to bring back Naked Snake (who you may remember from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater), Big Boss (MGS 5: Phantom Limb), or Solid Snake from the original games? Maybe all three? From what little we’ve heard about the film so far, it sounds like it may span across multiple generations and deviate from a typical story structure. Regardless of what happens, let’s hope they can cast the lead actor who can take on the tough role.
