A new face is finally being lined up for Aquaman 2.

Game of Thrones fans (and detractors) can sit tight knowing we might have two prequel series on the air in the coming years. When Game of Thrones was nearing the airing of its final season, HBO set A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin to develop potential spinoffs and prequel series for the networks. At least five of these went through script and development stages, but only one was ordered to series. Earlier tonight, Jon Favreau’s The Lion King had its world premiere. The “live-action” adaptation of the 1994 Oscar-winning classic uses photoreal technology to provide a new take on the story of Simba (Donald Glover), who must fulfill his destiny and return from exile to take the throne from his evil uncle Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor).
