The Surfer
The eponymous Surfer (Nicolas Cage) returns to his hometown in order to buy his family's home near an idyllic Australian beach. The beach is defended by a gang of local bullies led by Scally (Julian McMahon), who is a self stylized guru determined to protect the beach from outsiders. After The Surfer and his son, The Kid (Finn Little) are turned away by Scally and his goons, The Surfer takes the Kid home and returns to the beach.
