cole added their review for Hereditary: No spoilers, but I was disappointed in the overly literal storyline and ending. It has shocking moments and scenes filled with genuine terror, but there was a LOT left on the table and too many cliche parts we've seen many times before. I'm shocked at how many critics loved it, though horror movies tend to have weak writing and too many jumpscares. For my money, this is one step below The Ring... almost there, just a bit short.
