Since childhood, teenagers Monica Wright and Quincy McCall have wanted to be professional basketball stars. However, as a girl Monica has to work hard to establish herself, while as a boy, Quincy's natural star potential is recognized and encouraged early on. As the two struggle to reach their goals of playing professionally, they must also deal with their emotions for each other.
